About BeFibre Broadband
BeFibre is an ‘altnet’ full fibre (FTTP) broadband provider that runs its own independently funded network.
It offers both residential broadband and business broadband services. For this guide, we'll explore the best BeFibre broadband packages for your home.
Why choose BeFibre?
Prices start from a low £19 per month with its entry-level deal that offers symmetrical upload and download speeds up to 150Mb. But if you want to go faster, its speediest broadband package goes up to 900Mb. That's plenty fast enough for even the busiest home!
All BeFibre broadband packages come with a choice of either a 24-month contract, 12-month contract or a rolling monthly internet options, plus every deal comes with a fixed price promise. That means no mid-contract price hikes - unlike other big-name providers, BeFibre keeps your costs stable throughout the contract period.
Not everyone in the UK has access to BeFibre deals, but its network is expanding day by day.
Where can I sign up to BeFibre Broadband?
BeFibre is currently available in parts of the following counties across England:

|
The FAQs section on its website includes an up-to-date list of towns and suburbs with BeFibre availability.
One of the easiest ways to find out if you can sign up to a package is to add your address into Broadband Genie’s deals checker. You’ll only be shown BeFibre broadband packages you can install to your home.
BeFibre packages and average speeds
There are only three full fibre speeds available with BeFibre’s home broadband service.
Unlike other ultrafast deals available with providers on the Openreach network or Virgin Media, all packages offer symmetrical upload/download. So your upload speeds and download speeds will be the same. This is very handy if you regularly upload large files or engage in video conferencing..
BeFibre home broadband options include:
- Be150: average download speed 150Mb / average upload speed 150Mb
- Be500: average download speed 500Mb / average upload speed 500Mb
- Be900: average download speed 900Mb / average upload speed 900Mb
What speeds do I need? Which BeFibre package is the best for me?
Be150 will be a good option for most homes and will be plenty fast enough for most everyday tasks.
If you live in a busy home with more than five people online at one time, Be500 might be a better option.
Meanwhile, Be900 is only really necessary in the busiest of homes with people carrying out 4K streaming, carrying out video calls or hosting online games at the same time.
BeFibre Package | Download Time |
---|---|
Be150 | 8 minutes 58 seconds |
Be500 | 2 minutes 41 seconds |
Be900 | 1 minute 29 seconds |
BeFibre contract buyouts
If you’ve not quite completed your current broadband contract, but you’d like to switch to BeFibre, there’s a contract buyout option. Upload proof of your cancellation online, and you can claim back:
- Be150: up to £100
- Be500: up to £125

‘Contract buyouts’ are also sometimes referred to as ‘switching credits’. They can be perfect if you've had enough of your current provider, but you're still locked into an agreement. You can find out more in our 'switching credit guide'.
What is the BeFibre router like?
New BeFibre customers will receive a Linksys Velop MX4000 Series Wi-Fi 6 System router. This is an Intelligent mesh device that’s a good option for streaming and gaming. But be warned, it’s a pretty big device, so you’ll need to find a convenient space for it.
For an additional £8 per month, if you experience Wi-Fi dead spots, you can enhance your coverage with the BeBoost Mesh solution.
Does BeFibre offer home phone packages?
BeFibre offers a digital phone line add-on called ‘BeTalk,’ providing unlimited UK mobile and landline calls for £10 per month. This VoIP service doesn’t require a traditional telephone line, and you can keep your existing landline number when you switch. When you sign up, you’ll need to commit for a full 24-months.
You should be able to keep your existing landline number when you switch to BeFibre.
