What’s the best broadband provider in Norwich?
New customers and those switching will have plenty of choice to find a better broadband service. There are many different types of broadband available to suit all budgets; from basic ADSL broadband that relies on a traditional phone line, to high speed, fast fibre-optic deals for heavier online users.
We recommend carrying out a search for your exact address. Did you know that even homes on the same street might not have access to the same internet services?
If you’re keen to get the best value for your money, it can be a good idea to sort the results by ‘effective monthly price’. This will take into account any extras you might have to pay (such as set-up fees), but will also deduct any special offer discounts or rewards totals you might get as a new customer.
If any price increases have been confirmed by the provider, you can find these details by expanding the ‘offer details and pricing’ section.

How much will my broadband go up by?
Many of the big name providers, such as BT, Vodafone, EE, Virgin Media, TalkTalk, NOW, Plusnet and Sky raise their prices every spring. These providers either base their price increase calculations on the Consumer Price Index rate from the previous December, plus an additional percentage they decide, or they set a fixed price in pounds (£).
In 2025, most look to be setting a fixed price rise of £3, regardless of the package cost.
This means, if you took out a 24-month contract in August 2024, you’d see two price increases before your contract end date, and it’s likely you’ll be paying around £6 more per month in the final months of your deal. Sounds unfair, right?
This is why it’s so important to switch or renegotiate your deal at the end of your contract, so you can counteract these price hikes and start a clean slate.

Comparing mobile broadband in Norwich
Norwich is well catered for when it comes to mobile broadband, although some mobile networks offer better coverage than others. You should be able to receive a strong 4G signal wherever you are in the city centre. But venture out towards the outskirts, including the airport, and you’re likely to fall back to 3G. EE will currently offer you the strongest 5G coverage, although Three also offers a decent service.
You might also like to consider Three’s 4G or 5G home broadband deals. Unlike other home broadband packages, these won’t require any fixed line, its routers are ‘plug and play. The lack of any installation could be an excellent option if you live in rented accommodation and don’t want to (or can’t) get permission for broadband installation from your landlord.
