Plusnet received the top accolade in our annual broadband awards, making it the 'Best Provider for 2023'.
The Sheffield-based ISP also scored top points in the 'Best Value for Money' award and scored consistently across all categories that included 'Speed Satisfaction', 'Best Customer Care' and 'Most Reliable Provider'.
Other category winners included Zen Internet, whose customers were most satisfied when it came to delivering the speed they were promised.
Origin Broadband came top for customer care and BT took home the final award for reliability.
To get the results, Broadband Genie interviewed 5,042 broadband customers to rate their provider, results were then converted into a percentage score out of 100.
Alex Tofts, broadband expert at Broadband Genie: “Congratulations to Plusnet. Its reasonably priced contracts and consistent scores in all categories make it a great all-rounder and a well-deserved winner.
“However, scores across the board are down on previous years. Providers will need to up their game. As the UK’s full fibre network continues to grow, coupled with the ‘One Touch Switch’ rule we hope to see this year, customers will have even more options when it comes to choosing their broadband provider and will be able to switch with less hassle"
